CAS / CASA is the engine code used by the Volkswagen Audi Group (VAG) for the 3.0L V6 TDI turbocharged diesel engine (also written as CASA in some markets).
This engine belongs to the Audi/Volkswagen 3.0 TDI V6 family and features common-rail direct injection, variable geometry turbocharging (VGT), a cast-iron cylinder block with an aluminum alloy cylinder head, and a DOHC 24-valve configuration. It is known for its high torque at low RPM, good fuel economy, and strong traction, and was primarily installed in the first-generation Audi Q7 and the contemporary Volkswagen Touareg. Production spanned approximately 2007–2011.
