The CRC is a 3.0-liter V6 turbocharged diesel engine (TDI) from Audi (Volkswagen Group) that belongs to the EA897 series.
Mass production of this engine began around 2011 and continued primarily until around 2015; it meets Euro 5 emissions standards. Known for its strong low-end torque and high fuel efficiency, it was primarily used in large SUV models and served as one of the main diesel powertrains for vehicles such as the Audi Q7.
Featuring a cast-iron cylinder block with an aluminum alloy cylinder head, common-rail direct injection, and variable geometry turbocharger (VGT) technology, the CRC was a flagship model among Audi’s mid-to-high-end diesel V6 engines at the time.
