The Toyota 1GR-FE is an extremely well-known 4.0-liter naturally aspirated V6 gasoline engine from Toyota that has spanned several generations. In the model code, “1” stands for the first generation, “G” represents Toyota’s V6 engine family, “R” stands for gasoline engine, and “FE” denotes a focus on fuel efficiency and high performance achieved through narrow-angle valves and electronic fuel injection.
Notes on the “GRJ150 New Model (New Dual VVT-i)”: The 1GR-FE underwent a major technological turning point during its long production run:
Early versions (approximately 2003–2009): VVT-i was equipped only on the intake side; commonly found in early models of the Prado J120, Land Cruiser, and FJ Cruiser.
New/late versions (2010 and later models based on the GRJ150 platform): Toyota carried out a comprehensive upgrade of the 1GR-FE, introducing Dual VVT-i (Dual Variable Valve Timing-intelligent system for both intake and exhaust valves), while optimizing the combustion chamber, pistons, and intake and exhaust manifolds. The compression ratio was increased from the earlier 10.0:1 to 10.4:1, resulting in significant improvements in power output and fuel economy. Overseas, the fourth-generation Prado 4.0L model, designated GRJ150, is equipped with this engine.
Our products are exported to various parts of the country, and the customers we have worked with have received unanimous praise.
