The Land Rover 508PN is the naturally aspirated version of Jaguar Land Rover’s (JLR) renowned AJ133 5.0-liter V8 engine family. In JLR’s internal coding system, designations ending in “PN” typically represent large-displacement naturally aspirated gasoline engines (Petrol Naturally Aspirated), while “PS” denotes supercharged engines (Supercharged). This engine series was developed entirely in-house by Jaguar Land Rover and introduced around 2009 to fully replace the earlier BMW M62/Jaguar AJ34 4.4L V8 engines. Technical Features and Configuration: The engine features a lightweight all-aluminum block and cylinder head, a 90-degree V-8 configuration, and is equipped with direct injection (SGDI) technology, dual independent variable camshaft timing (DIVCT), and a 4-valve-per-cylinder design.
