The Land Rover 306DT belongs to the renowned Ford-PSA Lion V6 diesel engine family and is a bored-out upgrade of the earlier 2.7L (276DT) model. This engine was jointly developed by Ford and the PSA Group and is widely used in Jaguar Land Rover’s (JLR) mid- to large-size SUVs and luxury sedans. Within the Land Rover lineup, it is commonly referred to as the TDV6 (single-turbo or low-output twin-turbo) or SDV6 (high-output twin-turbo).
