What is engine assembly?The G4FG is a 1.6L naturally aspirated gasoline engine from Hyundai-Kia’s Gamma II series.
Introduced in 2010, it is an upgraded version of the earlier Gamma series (such as the G4FC), with the main improvement being Dual Continuously Variable Valve Timing (Dual CVVT), which further enhances power response and fuel economy. Featuring an all-aluminum block and cylinder head, DOHC 16-valve configuration, multipoint fuel injection (MPI), and a timing chain drive, this engine serves as the primary naturally aspirated powerplant for Hyundai-Kia’s compact sedans and SUVs. Production has continued from 2010 to the present.
