The N20B20 is a 2.0L turbocharged inline-four gasoline engine produced by BMW from 2011 to 2017/2018, part of the N20 series. It served as the primary powertrain for BMW’s compact and midsize cars and SUVs at the time, powering the 20i, 25i, and 28i models through different ECU calibrations. “4WD” typically refers to versions equipped on xDrive all-wheel-drive models; the engine block is essentially identical to that of rear-wheel-drive (sDrive) models, with the main difference lying in the adaptation of the drivetrain.
