The N74 is a V12 60° twin-turbocharged gasoline engine developed exclusively by the BMW Group for its flagship models and its ultra-luxury brand, Rolls-Royce, to replace the earlier N73 naturally aspirated
V12 engine.
Rolls-Royce Exclusive Customization (6.6L Displacement): The N74B66 is a 6.6-liter long-stroke variant within the N74 family developed exclusively for Rolls-Royce (the early BMW 760Li was equipped with
the 6.0L N74B60). By increasing the stroke, BMW engineers raised the displacement to 6,592 cc, endowing it with the brand’s signature “flying carpet” quietness and smoothness, as well as astonishing
“magic carpet” torque reserves at low RPMs (peak torque is delivered as early as 1,500 RPM). In addition, the N74B66 spawned a high-output variant (N74B66C) for the Black Badge series.
