What is engine assembly?The N20B20 cylinder head is the cylinder head for BMW’s N20 series 2.0L inline-four turbocharged gasoline engine, produced from 2011 to approximately 2018 (primarily at the Hams Hall plant).
The N20 is a four-cylinder turbocharged engine developed by BMW to replace the naturally aspirated six-cylinder engines (N52/N53). The cylinder head design draws heavily
on that of the N55 six-cylinder engine and features the Valvetronic III variable valve lift system, Double-VANOS dual variable valve timing, direct injection (TVDI), and hydraulic tappets.
The cylinder head is made of aluminum alloy and integrates the intake and exhaust camshafts, Valvetronic actuators, and the VANOS mechanism; it is the core precision component of the N20 engine.
