What is engine assembly?The BMW B48 series is the flagship 2.0L inline-four turbocharged engine in BMW’s Modular Powertrain Family (B38/B48/B58), designed to fully replace the previous-generation N20 engine.
In response to increasingly stringent global environmental regulations and to meet China VI-b and Euro 6d emissions standards, BMW has implemented major technical modifications to
the cylinder head of the B48 engine (specifically the B48TU and B48B20 series) by integrating the exhaust manifold directly into the cylinder head (Integrated Exhaust Manifold).
This design utilizes the cooling water jacket to rapidly absorb exhaust heat, significantly shortening cold-start warm-up time to reduce exhaust emissions, while effectively lowering
exhaust temperatures and fuel consumption under high-speed, high-load operating conditions.
Material: High-Strength Aluminum Alloy. Manufactured using a combination of precision gravity and low-pressure casting with CNC machining, it offers excellent resistance to
thermal fatigue and high-pressure knocking, as well as outstanding heat dissipation efficiency.
