What is engine assembly?CJT is the specific engine code for the Volkswagen Group’s EA837 series 3.0-litre V6 supercharged engine. This series was introduced around 2008–2010 and features an
aluminium cylinder head, a DOHC 24-valve design, hydraulic tappets and intake-side variable valve timing. The CJT variant is primarily the 3.0 TFSI supercharged version
(featuring an Eaton Roots-type supercharger), delivering approximately 272–333 hp, and is widely used in mid-to-large-sized models such as the Audi Q7.
The cylinder head is an optimised version of the early 3.2 FSI design, with reinforced valve springs and a cooling system to accommodate the supercharged operating conditions.
