What is engine assembly?BDW is the engine code for the 2.4-litre naturally aspirated V6 engine in the Volkswagen Group’s EA837 series, produced between 2004 and 2008. The engine features an aluminium cylinder head
and a DOHC 24-valve design, equipped with hydraulic tappets and intake-side variable valve timing. Unlike the FSI direct-injection versions in the same series, the BDW utilises a multi-point fuel injection (MPI) system and is the only variant in the EA837 series to employ port injection. It was primarily used in the Audi A6 C6 (4F) model, with an emphasis on smoothness and reliability.
