The B58B30 China VI cylinder head is designed for the 3.0L inline-six turbocharged gasoline engine (B58 family) in BMW’s B-series modular engine lineup, which has been in production since 2015.
The B58 is the high-end six-cylinder variant of BMW’s all-new modular engine family (B38 three-cylinder, B48 four-cylinder, B58 six-cylinder). It features an aluminum alloy block and
aluminum alloy cylinder head design, and is equipped with Valvetronic variable valve lift, Double-VANOS dual variable valve timing, direct injection, and single turbocharging (TwinScroll).
The China 6 version has been optimized to meet Chinese market emissions standards, with adjustments made to fuel injection calibration, the aftertreatment system, and cooling channel details.
Renowned for its high torque, smooth operation, and reliability, this engine is widely used in BMW’s mid- to high-end models as well as the Toyota Supra.
