The 306PS older model (also known as the 30HD0D / AJ126) is an early version (approximately 2012–2017/2018) of the Land Rover/Jaguar 3.0L V6 mechanically supercharged gasoline engine,
and is a “truncated version” (derived from a V8 to a V6) of the AJ-V8 family.
It features an aluminum alloy cylinder block, equipped with an Eaton M112 supercharger, direct injection, and dual variable valve timing, and is renowned for its instantaneous response and
lack of turbo lag. Early versions were primarily used in models such as the Discovery 4 and Range Rover Sport; subsequent versions underwent minor updates (power calibration, ECU, etc.),
but the core structure of the cylinder block remained essentially the same.
Cylinder Block Material and Advanced Manufacturing Process:
Material: High-strength, lightweight, all-aluminum alloy die-cast cylinder block (Aluminum Alloy V6 Crankcase).
While significantly reducing the weight of traditional cast-iron engine blocks and improving front-axle weight distribution, it offers excellent rigidity against knocking and high-pressure detonation.
Inner Wall Treatment: The interior features high-precision honing to reinforce the inner walls or composite coating technology, providing excellent resistance to high temperatures anwear, as well as superior heat dissipation and thermal conductivity—perfectly suited for the high thermal load conditions of the 306 PS supercharged engine.
