The N52B30 is a classic 3.0L naturally aspirated inline-six engine introduced by BMW in 2004 to replace the M54B30. It is one of BMW’s final-generation high-revving,
naturally aspirated inline-six flagship engines and is hailed as the pinnacle of BMW’s naturally aspirated era.

Ultimate Weight Reduction: This design reduces the weight of the N52 cylinder block by approximately 24% compared to the previous-generation all-aluminum M54
(weighing only about 161 kg total), significantly improving the vehicle’s front-to-rear weight distribution and handling response.
Liners and Cylinder Walls: The cylinder liners utilize Alusil (silicon-aluminum alloy) with a liner-free coating technology, resulting in extremely low friction.
