The B38A15 was BMW’s first 1.5L inline-three-cylinder modular engine (B38 series, with a single-cylinder displacement of 0.5L), introduced in 2013/2014. It is widely used in BMW’s UKL front-wheel-drive platform (such as the 1 Series, 2 Series, X1, and X2) and certain models with longitudinal engine layouts, as well as the entire MINI Cooper lineup. The “China V” version represents the early technical iteration (Pre-TU) of this series.
Core Materials and Technical Construction (Closed-Deck Aluminum Block):
High-strength die-cast aluminum alloy: The main body of the cylinder block is made of aluminum alloy, which significantly reduces front-axle weight while ensuring structural strength.
Closed-Deck Design: Although this is a small-displacement three-cylinder engine, BMW has adopted a closed-deck design, providing exceptional structural rigidity at the top of the cylinders to withstand high combustion pressures.
LDS Wire Arc Sprayed Cylinder Liner Coating: The traditional, heavy cast-iron cylinder liners have been eliminated in favor of a micron-thick iron coating sprayed onto the inner cylinder walls, which reduces the coefficient of friction, improves thermal conductivity, and further reduces weight.
Our products are exported to various parts of the country, and the customers we have worked with have received unanimous praise. The company has invested over 20 million yuan in high-end remanufacturing equipment imported from abroad and a first-class production team in the country. Our warehouse has a total area of over 8000 square meters, with scientific management and sufficient supply of goods.
