CLX is the engine code for Audi’s EA837 series 2.5L V6 naturally aspirated gasoline engine, primarily used in C7 platform models for the Chinese market and select global markets.
This engine belongs to the Audi/Volkswagen Group’s V6 engine family. It features an aluminum alloy cylinder block, DOHC (dual overhead camshaft) configuration, and a multipoint/direct injection system, emphasizing smooth operation and fuel efficiency. It was produced from approximately 2012 to 2018 and was primarily used in mid- to large-size sedans such as the Audi A6L, A7, and A8L.
The cylinder block is constructed of die-cast aluminum alloy, featuring a lightweight design combined with precision casting processes to ensure high strength and excellent heat dissipation.
